FAT testing of gas filter separators: Düsseldorf 2026

The Contex Energy team attended the FAT testing of gas filter separators at the factory of manufacturer B&G in Düsseldorf. The Factory Acceptance Test is an important stage of equipment quality control before delivery and installation at the project site.

The gas filter separator is a key component of gas systems. Its main function is to remove solid impurities, condensate and liquid droplets from the natural gas stream, protecting pressure regulators, metering devices, valves, pipelines and other downstream equipment.

During the FAT procedure, a detailed inspection of the manufactured equipment was carried out, including checking the quality of workmanship, dimensions and connections, technical and certification documentation, and compliance with the project and contractual specifications.

The gas filter separator was successfully tested at a trial pressure of 70 bar, confirming the strength, tightness and reliability of the pressure vessel in accordance with the defined technical requirements.

The completion of this test confirmed another important step in the successful execution of the project, as well as the continuation of good cooperation with the equipment manufacturer.
